To improve the credibility of the website through visual redesign and improvements in navigation and accessibility.

Research

  • Desk Research:
    • Review of design trends for multimedia security sites.
    • Benchmarking: Competitor analysis (example: how do other similar sites handle design and navigation?).
    • General findings on best practices in credibility and UX for this type of user.
  • Heuristic Analysis: Evaluation based on Nielsen’s 10 heuristics.
    Main problems found:
    • Navigation: Lack of clear hierarchy, difficulties in finding content.
    • Contrast: Legibility and accessibility issues.
    • Outdated design: Visual elements that reduce the perception of professionalism and trust.

Proposed Solutions

  • Visual redesign with a modern and professional aesthetic.
  • Better organization of content and more intuitive navigation.
  • Accessibility optimization with better contrasts and appropriate typography.

A/B Test

We carried out an a/b test of the home screen of the application, these designs were made with the initial objective of knowing which one works best to communicate the work of the municipality to the user.

  1. The option number 2 was the favorite.
  2. I had to resize the CTA button and make the image smaller.
  3. I added _blank code to the html image to open news in a new window.
